Manfred Kudlek passed away

Manfred Kudlek suddenly passed away on June 18, 2012.
He died as a result of a heart attack in a coach to Bletchley Park during the excursion of CiE'2012.

Manfred have always had a very special relationship to EATCS. He was the only person who has attended all ICALPs since 1972. Particularly worth mentioning are his long-standing contributions to the EATCS bulletin. He always pleased the EATCS community by his reports and pictures about computer science conferences in Europe.
Moreover, Manfred traditionally commented at each general assembly of EATCS the statistics of the authors who published repeatedly at ICALP and presented the special EATCS badges to those having reached five or more full papers at ICALP.
